my current herb formula
My acupuncturist gave me a real fibroid-busting herb formula this month, Shao Fu Zhu Yu Tang, otherwise known as "abdominal statis relief". This page shows the formula, although she gave me powder not pills. This page on Chinese medicine for fibroids talks about use of this formula. So does this page, talking about how it's for "stubborn cases." Sounds like me!

I just wanted to touch base as I read your blog all the time! I wanted to tell you that I've decided to go down the surgery route. After trying now for over a year after a miscarriage, I'm going for a myomectomy in May. For me personally I believe this is the best option. My specialist had the same issue and ended up getting the fibroid removed. She said she got pregnant straightaway. So we'll see what happens.
I really admire all your efforts and I try to incorporate some of them but I'm too impatient now to wait any longer. Good luck with your babymaking efforts. We are also terrible night owls and that hsa to change!

Good for you for finding the option that's best for you. Myomectomy does indeed seem to work well for many people. You might want to check out the uterine fibroids yahoo group, there is tons of helpful info on there about myomectomy, pre and post surgery dos and don'ts. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/uterinefibroids/
There is also a yahoo group for people trying to get pregnant after myomectomy that may be of interest, I don't know the exact name but it shouldn't be hard to fine.
However some people report that their fibroids come back after myomectomy, so you may want to keep following some of the ideas in this blog to prevent that from happening.
You might also want to get the book Energy Medicine for Women, which I am reading now, it has a fascinating story of the author's daughter's myomectomy.

I will get that book you mentioned as well. You're such a great source of info. I had an ultrasound last week on the Fibs so we'll see if there's any change. No results yet. Fingers crossed.
