Probiotics can help your body get rid of Bisphenol A!

Found this amazing information in a comment at the Healthy Gut Summit page for Sara Gottfried's talk, from Robert Gellibolian.  Thank you Robert for the valuable tip! The two strains mentioned below are contained in Garden of Life Primal Defense Ultra Probiotic Formula.  As discussed in previous posts on this blog, Bisphenol A (BPA) is a significant contributor to fibroids and also hurts egg quality (basically it is evil).

Anyways, research in animals seems to indicate that probiotics seem to make a big difference in detoxifying BPA from your body. Two common probiotic strains, Bifidobacterium breve and Lactobacillus casei, have been found in animal research to help the body detoxify it by reducing the intestinal absorption of bisphenol A through facilitating increased excretion (Oishi, T et al. Biosci Biotechnol Biochem. 2008 Jun;72(6):1409-15). The animals receiving probiotic treatment were found to have 2.4 times higher excretion of Bisphenol A in their feces, suggesting probiotic supplementation could be of significant benefit to humans as well.

Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me.
