fibroids associated with higher HDL cholesterol levels

Another one of those studies that raises more questions than it answers.  Link here. Apparently women with fibroids have higher levels of HDL cholesterol, which is surprising because that's the "good" type of cholesterol. And also women with fibroids have lower overall cholesterol and lower LDL cholesterol.

Does this mean that high HDL cholesterol levels cause fibroids? That fibroids cause high HDL cholesterol levels?  That high HDL cholesterol and fibroids are both results of the same cause (improper diet, poor fats processing in the body, etc.?)

Appreciate that people are trying to study fibroids, but studies like this unfortunately don't really provide much guidance for those of us who are trying to actively prevent and treat them!

This other similar study I found had a similar result. (Before posting this, I tried to do some research online to see more about what the fibroids-cholesterol link might be, but this other study was the only thing I was able to find).
