However, according to this page 1-5% of women who have UFE end up in menopause. A bit more information here -- embolization may disrupt blood supply to the ovaries in some cases. Also, here is some other scary info about UFE and possible side effects, plus the fact that you can't take the spheres out once they are put in -- so it doesn't seem like this is an easy answer.
