The Gerson Method

Came across a reference online to a dietary method to combat tumors called the Gerson Method.  Its features include lots of vegetable juices, low salt, and coffee enemas. This fascinating article tells its history (and in the process says a lot about the medical profession's focus on surgery to the exclusion of other approaches).

There's a book about it called The Gerson Therapy: The Proven Nutritional Program for Cancer and Other Illnesses which looks like it's worth checking out.

Interestingly, the pages on Gerson's say that benign tumors like fibroids take much longer to shrink than cancerous ones.
