Octomom getting a myomectomy

I never thought I would write about Octomom Nadya Suleman, but guess what she is having a myomectomy. Details here.

Interestingly, she had the fibroids before getting present with the latest eight, and they got bigger while she was pregnant.

She claims that the myomectomy is "mandated" because of fear of "pre-cancerous cells" but based on what I have read that is not a reason to need a myomectomy...

I read that ,too, and found myself feeling for the woman. That surgery was a doozy. Awful.( I had a 7 pounder removed. I don't want to go through that again ever so like you, I have been researching like a maniac for surgical alternatives. I made a correlation between fibroids and rheumatoid arthritis.( Diabetes and Alzheimers may also be caused be this problem.) Both of which I have. Both come from a problem with prostaglandin levels. Both are essentially disorders where the immune system "over-reacts" and causes inflammation. I shrank my fibroids by using rheumatoid arthritis natural treatments! Flaxseed oil, iodine ( sea kelp), evening primrose, turmeric, Zyflamend. ( these have strong clincal evidence. And NSAIDS taken once daily has shown amazing potential, but long term trials are being conducted to look for long term side effects like ulcers). Sorry for the long post. I just had to share. Before I started this, I guess I'd call it, therapy, I had fibroids and fertility issues. Now I have a baby and no issues. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Very interesting, thanks so much for sharing, and congratulations on your baby!
Fascinating theory about the inflammation and arthritis connection. I have seen a lot lately saying that inflammation is the root of many evils healthwise.
The multivitamin I'm taking right now has both ginger and tumeric in it.
