Tao of Wellness hot herbal cereal

I'm reading The Tao of Fertility currently and will report later on its relevance to fibroid-shrinkers.

Meanwhile, my interest was peaked by mention of a hot herbal cereal that the author sells in the clinic's online store. I showed the ingredients to my acupuncturist and she said it would be good for me. She also mentioned that if one goes to a Chinese market there will be many such items that are somewhere between food and medicine.

I'm happy to try anything that is healthy and will add some variety to my diet. This sounds particularly yummy, plus it contains Fu Ling (Poria) which is good for fibroids (often used in conjunction with cinnamon, so maybe I will sprinkle some cinnamon on this cereal!)

I heard the teas below help, I'm not sure, if this is so. However, since I drink alot of tea it won't hurt to try these.

red clover
mint
chamomile
fenugreek
fennel
milk thistle
rose hips
black cohosh

Also evening primrose oil

Hi there,
Congrats on your marriage. May you have many years of wedded bliss!

I'm wondering how you are doing and I'm wondering how much this diet has changed your body. How much weight have you lost since you started? I'm in awe of your will power and determination.I keep an eye on your blog regularly and find it inspiring!

When is your next ultrasound to determine how much the fibroids have shrunk?

I just wanted to thank you for writing this blog. I found it a few days ago and it's very helpful. I just posted my own saga (in a ridiculously long message) on the HealingForFibroids Naturally group, which I found through your blog, so thanks for that, too. We also got married on the same day last month...congratulations! I think you are a much more disciplined fibroid shrinker than I am :), but I wish you the best of luck. m

Thanks so much, am glad you are finding this to be helpful!
And congratulations to you too, how funny we got married on the same day!
I am on a business trip this week so have not had a chance to keep up with the Healing for Fibroids Naturally emails, am sure I'll see your posting there when I get caught up.
I don't know how disciplied I am (I need to be exercising more) but I'm trying!
Good luck to you too!

Hi Shelly,
Thanks for the list of teas.
I heard opposite of red clover, that it was estrogenic, same for fennel. Mint I haven't heard anything about. Chamomile some people on the Healing Fibroids Naturally Yahoo group have mentioned as a something-or-other antagonist, have been meaning to look into but haven't. Fenugreek I know is supposed to be good for fertility but I don't know why. Milk thistle is definitely supposed to help as it supports the liver (I am currently taking in pill form). Rose hips have lots of vitamin C but beyond that I'm not sure. Black cohosh I have heard is good for menopause but I'm not sure about fibroids. Evening primrose oil I have heard is good for PMS but not sure for fibroids.
I have to admit, I haven't done as much research on western herbs. From what I have been told, the Chinese ones are stronger.
I have a past post about the Celestial Seasonings Vanilla Hazelnut tea which has milk thistle. Also I like the Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice, which is mostly cinnamon, another herb that is supposed to be good for fibroids.
Herb tea is definitely better than regular tea, see my prior post on that.
Happy drinking!!!!

P.S. to Shelly, for any of these if you want to do more research, I suggest googling the name of the tea and "fibroids" and see what comes up...
